On Monday June 8 and 9th, Ireland will be examined  Ireland will be examined bu the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.

The CWC made a submission to the Committee focusing on how the Irish Government proposes to ensure and promote the sustainability and autonomy of a strong and vibrant local community sector in Ireland and stem the erosion of this sector in the interests of the most disadvantaged communities in Ireland and the promotion of social inclusion, empowerment and social, economic and cultural rights.
