Community Work under SICAP
Roundtable Discussions
As the current iteration of the SICAP programme enters its final year and as planning for the new programme gets underway, CWI and AIEB (All Ireland Endorsement Body for Community Work Education and Training) are organising two sessions with CWI members to explore your experience of working or engaging with SICAP from a community work perspective.
To that end, CWI and AIEB will hold two roundtable discussions:
Roundtable 1 – For those working directly in community work under the SCIAP programme.
This session will include discussions on the impact of external target setting, the flexibility of SICAP to respond to local priorities, any opportunities or challenges from a community work perspective that engaging with the SICAP programme presents, and the experience of working with the Local Community Development Committees. It will take place on March 2nd at 2pm.
Roundtable 2 – For those that do not work directly under SICAP but engage with the programme as part of their work.
This session will include discussions on supports from SICAP for your organisational priorities, partnership/collaborative approaches to community work at local level and any opportunities or challenges from a community work perspective that engaging with the SICAP programme presents. It will take place on March 3rd at 2pm.
